Veggie Gardening for WinterAs we find ourselves in full-on Fall amid the bounty of the harvests we feel the dark days and chill of winter ahead. The temperate and Mediterranean climate of San Francisco means that, with a little planning, many veggies can be grown and enjoyed through winter and into next year. Let Carey Craddock and Garden for the Environment help you make full use of our winter gardening season. We’ll discuss soil building techniques, seed starting, when and what to plant in your winter garden and the produce you can reap by gardening year round.  As part of the class we’ll prepare a garden bed with compost and plant a winter vegetable crop!
